How to get the most out of your content
A quick tip that will save time and boost performance
Hey đź‘‹
Welcome to Neighbourhood Post issue #28 - easy to implement digital marketing ideas straight through your metaphorical letterbox.
It’s been a busy week, so here’s a short, sharp dose of post - all the wisdom, half the words.
👉 By the way, if you’ve missed previous newsletters you’ll find them here.
📩 And if you’ve been forwarded this email you can subscribe here.
Reduce, reuse, repurpose ♻️
We often remind people:
“Nobody cares about your brand as much as you do.”
It’s quite a freeing thought. 🤯
We tend to overcomplicate, rather than look at our audience’s actual behaviour.
Case in point: Creating original content.
We think everybody sees everything, but only a small percentage of your audience see your content.
If your email list has a strong open rate of 30-40% then up to 70% of them rarely see what you write, design or create.
It’s the same on social media.
Calculate your average reach per post over one month. Likelihood is the number is smaller than your follower count. Sometimes as small as 30%.
That means up to 70% of your followers won’t see your posts.
It feels a bit depressing, but take it as an opportunity:
Your best content can be recycled for an easy win.
Look at your best performing content from 6-12 months ago; either resurface it, rewrite it or repackage it and get it out there.
What we sometimes feel is old and overused is anything but.
What will you repurpose to save some time and serve value to your audience?
Case in point, here are 5 historical newsletters you probably didn’t read first time around.
Why not click on a link below and take a look?
That’s all for this week.
See you next Friday.
✌️
Before you go - we’ll never use these newsletters to directly sell you our services, but we’re always here if you need any expertise or support 👍
